Michael and I first met singing together. I was attending a 6:30 am Mass at St. Helen's Catholic Church near Southwestern University . At that time I was a member of the Catholic Student Association and a few of us would help with the morning mass geared toward high school students the first Thursday of every month. I arrived a little disheveled a few minutes before Mass began, with my glasses on and a cashmere hat atop my head because of the cold outside. I had woken up a little late because of long study hours the night before. To my surprise, I found a nice, handsome man with a captivating smile before me testing out the microphones. I kept thinking surely this guy had a girlfriend or might even be married. I tried to focus on singing, but found myself drawn to his presence. So I sang a little louder, to make sure that he could here my beautiful voice. At the end of the mass, he asked if I might like to sing with him during Mass sometimes. Of course, I said yes! If anything else, my mother would be delighted that I had found somewhere to sing, especially in church. We exchanged numbers and he told me I should expect a phone call soon.
Michael called, as promised, and we began to sing together at St. Helen's. After singing with him for a few times after our first meeting, I realized that Michael was the perfect guy for me. He himself values and appreciates Music and really understands my passion for music as well. We began recording songs in his home studio, and the more time I spent with him, the closer I felt towards him. It was as if I had known him most of my life. Michael knew that I loved sushi so on our first date he took me to a very elegant sushi restaurant downtown called Kenichi. It was splendid! He even picked me up in the “Rocket” – his stage 3 Nissan 300Z. We've been inseparable ever since.
I have always prayed and believed that I will meet my bride in church. Like all miracles, it happened when I least expected. It was 6:30 in the morning Thursday, and I was going about my normal music preparations for Mass. I was scheduled to play and sing with a few other people. Mass was actually about to start, but nobody else was there to sing but me. I thought that it would be another solo session. But lo and behold, Emily and Christina appear just in the nick of time. I have never met, seen or heard of Emily Latour before this day. Unknowingly, this was the magical moment that I was waiting for all my life. At the first greetings, I could already feel the chemistry and magic between us. From the very beginning, Emily really impressed me with her musical talents, and I reciprocated as well. Ever since then, we have been making music in and out of church and will be most likely for the rest of our lives. I have always wanted someone who could share the musical adventures of life with me. Emily is the one-the only one.
