Michael and I really wanted to have our wedding ceremony at the church where we currently sing, so we decided to have the wedding celebration in Austin . We decided that we wanted to have a theme to our wedding and music seemed a perfect match. The Cantorei singing group agreed to offer their musical talent at our ceremony along with a couple of close personal friends and instrumentalists.

Michael and I knew the importance of community and wanted to express that in our ceremony so we collaborated with the head priest and he agreed to have our wedding ceremony in the context of the 5:00pm Saturday mass. In this way, we could profess our love for each other not just to our families and friends but also to the church that we belonged. Because I still wanted to have the feel of a traditional New Orleans wedding, I thought the Grand Ballroom of the Texas Women's Federation Club Mansion would provide an elegant reception location. When the Atlantics agreed to provide the music for our reception, we knew that the reception would be one exciting event that no one would want to miss.

Michael and I are so excited about our honeymoon. We have both been dying to go to Hawaii , so we've chosen the fairly remote island of Kauai for our weeklong stay.
